Yoga Teacher Training

This version is done in person as a group training so you
need to arrange for travel to the location during the course. It
consists of 180 hours of classroom time divided over the course of 10
lessons in 10 months. The lessons are integrated and include all
necessary categories to give you what you'll need to start teaching a
Beginners Level Yoga class. Yoga Alliance approved and part of the
National Registry of Yoga Schools. |

$2400 if paid in full,
otherwise $2500. Includes Training manual, classroom instruction,
textbooks, and certificate.
All
participants receive a discount for weekly group yoga classes and
bodywork sessions. |

Course begins the weekend of January 16, 2009 and will
meet once a month for 10 consecutive months. Dates are pre-set. Fridays,
6 to 8pm; Saturdays, 7:30am to 3:30pm; Sundays, 8am to 4pm. |

Continuing Ed - 2009
Starting in the Spring of 2009 OH (that's short for
Open Heart) we will be offering a series of workshops that delve
deeper into the practice of Yoga.
Whether you are just practicing Yoga for a number of
years or are teaching Yoga, the course material is relevant for real
life issues and will benefit your practice.
Each course includes Anatomy and Physiology, Yoga Philosophy and
practice-teach time. Class size is kept small to give participants
one-on-one attention.
Topics include:
Yoga Therapy - familiarizing yourself with an ancient
system of diagnosis - KOSHAS - to layer a therapeutic application of
Yoga, meditation, etc. for more private Yoga sessions with people.

Yoga Nutrition
- learning how to cook healthy and delicious meals without sacrificing
your inner quietude.
March 28, 29, 30
Basic Backcare - see how using a modification for
basic postures and breathing can alleviate pain and discomfort from
back issues.
April 24, 25, 26
Intermediate Asana and Pranayama - learn how to use
powerful breathing disciplines to achieve longer holding and deeper
expressions in your practice.
May 22, 23, 24
Yoga with Children - have fun practicing how to be a
kida gain and use proper techniques of yoga and meditation to be
kid-friendly.
June 12, 13, 14
Cost: Each 16-hour course over one weekend is $256. If you sign up for
three or more course the cost is $246 ea.
